The mobile business productivity space continues to expand! On Friday, June 14th, Microsoft launched Office Mobile for the iPhone, an app that allows you to view, create or edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents and view or edit (at a very basic level) PowerPoint files on the iPhone. The app is free but available only to existing Microsoft Office 365 subscribers.

Something happened last year that made me – and probably lots of other people – take pause. More smartphones were sold in 2011 than PCs. Wow. That’s pretty big. (And that doesn’t even include the 70M+ tablets sold!) Recently, Adobe made an official announcement that it has suspended any further development of its Flash technology for use in mobile device browsers.
