Identifying a pressing need in how companies delivered product knowledge, training, and important business communications, Joe founded Brainshark in 1999 with a vision to create a way for a company's knowledge experts to accelerate the flow of information to their audiences in a highly effective format.

Greg Flynn

Chief Executive Officer

Co-founder and member of the leadership team since the company’s inception, Greg has been instrumental in building and solidifying Brainshark's reputation as a leading provider of sales enablement solutions and top-tier software-as-a-service organization. As CEO, he is responsible for the direction and planning of all sales, marketing, services, product, engineering and IT functions.

Jack Derby

Founder, Derby Management

Prior to founding Derby Management in 1990, Jack served as CEO of Mayer Electronics Corporation, President of CB Sports, President of Litton Industries Medical Systems, CEO of Datamedix Corporation and Executive VP of Becton Dickinson Medical Systems. He is also a professor at Tufts School of Engineering and a Lecturer at MIT. Jack is a graduate of Boston College and the University of Chicago.

Bob Migliorino

Managing Director & Co-Founder, W Capital Partners

Bob serves as a Managing Director at W Capital Partners, which he co-founded in 2001. He brings 30 years of experience in operations, management, and venture capital, having led business operations and turnarounds for several GE businesses. He has significant industry expertise within the enterprise software and technology services industries. Bob holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Drexel University.

John Halligan

Managing Director & Co-Founder, SI Ventures

John co-founded SI Ventures in 1996 and has 34 years of experience in venture capital and senior financial and operating management positions. He was previously Executive VP, CFO, and Treasurer of Gartner where he led the company's IPO in 1994. Prior to Gartner, he spent 22 years with General Electric Company. John holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Providence College.

Peter Cowie

Chairman & CEO, Managed Technology Partners

Peter is Chairman and CEO of Managed Technology Partners (MTP), and oversaw its growth from $20 million in 2001 to over $75 million in 2008 revenue to become the area's leading Managed IT Services provider. Peter is a veteran in the technology business and a proven leader in building successful companies; he currently serves on partner advisory boards for several of MTP's key partners, including HP and Microsoft.

Steve Ricci

Senior Partner, Flagship Ventures

Steve has over 30 years of experience in the venture capital industry and has been directly involved in the financing of over 125 companies. Prior to Flagship, he was a General Partner at One Liberty Ventures and at Palmer Partners. Steve's early career includes several years in manufacturing engineering with DuPont and Cambridge Tool. He has a B.S. from Tufts University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Alex Laats

SVP & GM, Third-Party Risk Management, BitSight

Alex was CEO and Founder of Rekener, which was acquired by Brainshark in December 2019. Alex is a serial entrepreneur and business leader with over 2 decades of experience. Alex’s companies have generated over $500M in liquidity events and more than $1B in product sales. Before Rekener, he served as President and COO at ZeroTurnaround (acquired by Rogue Wave) and as President of the Delta Division of BBN Technologies (acquired by Raytheon). At ZeroTurnaround, he grew high velocity inside sales by 6x in 3 years.
