Brainshark Appoints Dermot O’Grady as Chief Financial Officer
WALTHAM, Mass. — February 1, 2017 — Brainshark, Inc., delivering SaaS-based sales enablement and readiness solutions, today welcomed Dermot O’Grady as its new chief financial officer. In his role, O’Grady will be responsible for managing and leading Brainshark’s accounting and finance operations, as well as overseeing Brainshark’s relationships with investors, outside counsel and financing institutions.
O’Grady has 30 years of financial experience – including 26 years in CFO roles – working with international, high-growth, venture-capital-funded and public companies. Prior to joining Brainshark, O’Grady served as CFO at Xkoto, a database virtualization software company acquired by Teradata, and Convoq, a web conferencing company.
O’Grady replaces former CFO Mike McEachern, a 16-year Brainshark veteran and founding member of the management team, who has played a key role growing Brainshark into a thriving sales enablement and readiness technology leader.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Dermot to Brainshark. I’m confident his financial experience and acumen will further extend our leadership position, create new opportunities to grow the company and provide value to our customers,” said Brainshark CEO Greg Flynn. “We’re also very thankful to Mike for his many contributions and leadership, which have helped put Brainshark in a strong financial and technological position.”
O’Grady said: “This is an especially exciting time to join Brainshark, with a lot of activity and growth in the sales readiness market, and with Brainshark’s solutions delivering significant business impact. I look forward to helping the company build on its market leadership and am delighted to be part of the team.”
