Brainshark Appoints Greg Flynn as President; Mike McEachern as Executive Vice President

WALTHAM, Mass. — March 19, 2013 — Brainshark, Inc., the leading sales enablement platform provider, today announced the appointment of Greg Flynn as company president and Mike McEachern as executive vice president and CFO. Both long-time members of Brainshark’s leadership team, Flynn was previously Brainshark’s senior vice president of products and services, and McEachern previously served as senior vice president and CFO. These appointments come as Brainshark continues its strong growth trajectory – extending its market leadership, with continued high demand for Brainshark’s on-demand presentation solutions and the explosive adoption of its SlideShark app for viewing and sharing mobile presentations.

Flynn and McEachern will report directly to Gustafson.

In his new role as president, Flynn will oversee Brainshark’s sales, marketing, services, product, engineering and IT functions. Previously, as senior vice president of products and services, Flynn oversaw customer support and professional services, and managed all technology and service offerings – including each new release of the Brainshark platform and the popular SlideShark mobile app.

Flynn has more than 25 years of experience in the software industry. Prior to co-founding Brainshark, he served as director of professional services for Progress Software Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire.

As executive vice president and CFO, McEachern leads Brainshark’s accounting, finance, HR and business operations functions, and manages relationships with the company’s investors, outside counsel and financial institutions. During his tenure, he has helped secure Brainshark’s venture capital investments and other financing from top-tier firms, and recently steered the company to its sixth consecutive year of profitable operating results.

With more than 20 years of accounting and finance experience, McEachern – prior to Brainshark – was vice president and treasurer at Elcom International, Inc. and group treasurer for Howden Group America, a $200 million subsidiary of Howden Group, plc. He also served as manager of financial reporting for Trend-lines, Inc. McEachern earned his Master of Business Administration from Babson College and a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Marquette University. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) in Massachusetts.
