Brainshark Introduces VideoSync – Making it Easy to Combine Video and Slides for a Powerful Viewing Experience

WALTHAM, Mass. — August 20, 2013 — Brainshark, Inc., the leading sales enablement platform provider, today announced the launch of VideoSync – a new Brainshark On-Demand™ feature that lets users quickly and easily combine video and slides, side-by-side, to create a powerful and unique viewing experience for their audiences. VideoSync can be used to increase audience engagement and maximize the impact of online presentations – with “talking head” video clips, subject matter expert commentary, pre-recorded product demos, executive speeches, and more playing alongside and complementing slide content.

VideoSync, part of Brainshark On-Demand, can be used to optionally enhance any Brainshark presentation. Brainshark On-Demand makes it easy to add narration – via telephone, computer microphone and now VideoSync too – to PowerPoint slides to create dynamic video presentations that can be viewed anytime, on-demand, from virtually any device. Users can also add polls, quiz and/or survey questions to their presentations; set completion criteria for formal eLearning courses; and view in-depth analytics to measure the reach, effectiveness and engagement level of their video content.

VideoSync-enabled presentations are simple to create and automatically optimized for viewing on desktop computers, laptops and tablets. In addition, mobile viewers can access presentations via Web browser with no downloads required.

With VideoSync, users can:

  • Upload a video to play alongside their slides with a single mouse-click. As with Brainshark On-Demand, VideoSync supports more than 100 different video formats.
  • Synchronize slides and animations to video content with easy-to-use controls. Users can manage the timing of on-click animations on their slides – synchronizing animations with the accompanying video with simple drag-and-drop markers.  
  • Adjust the ratio of video-to-slide content. When creating a presentation, it’s easy to set the level of zoom for video and slide content, and lock in the ratio or leave it unlocked for viewers to adjust.
  • Easily edit slides on a single screen with simple visual cues. Users can edit or replace slides on presentations they’ve created without having to change the accompanying video content.
