We recently conducted our 2013 State of the Sales Rep Survey to learn more about how sales reps present in the field, and the results illuminated a number of areas that could be primed for change in 2014. Instead of compiling the main points of your slide deck on a printout, you might instead try broadcasting those slides right to the mobile devices and laptops of your audience members, then share that same content to their inbox once the meeting concludes. This way, your attendees have the takeaway materials they need, and you have a way to gauge their interest based on analytics that show how much of your content they actually view.

#3. Better accommodate remote attendees

A growing mobile workforce means more workers now contribute from remote locations. It also means the chances of getting everyone physically in the office for a meeting are narrowing. In fact, 38% of the sales reps say they rely on some type of web conferencing solution to engage with remote attendees. Of course, last-minute scheduling changes can pose a challenge – one that can be avoided by having a plan in place to reach audience members wherever it’s most convenient for them.
