For the past five years, Brainshark has participated in an evening walk and fundraising event called Light the Night. The Light the Night walk occurs annually in cities and towns across America where participants raise money in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve quality of life for patients and their families.
Earlier this month, our 10-person team joined thousands of participants on the Boston Common for the 2013 Boston Light the Night event. Walkers carried illuminated balloons – white for survivors, red for supporters, and gold for “in-memory.” Thousands of balloons lit up the sky to form a circle of support in the Boston Common to fight cancer.
Thanks to the support and generosity of our friends, family, and colleagues, Team Brainshark was able to raise over $1,800 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In aggregate, the Boston Light the Night walk has raised close to $1 million this year alone, with donations still coming in.
We’re thankful for the opportunity to help raise support for this important cause, and we’ll certainly be back for a sixth year!
