Brainshark Content Portal Adds Custom Filters^* Desktop Player Gets a New Look

At Brainshark, we know that being the best isn’t enough; you have to keep improving your products to stay on top. That’s what we’ll be doing on May 3, with improvements to the Brainshark Content Portal and the desktop player!

Custom Filters

The Content Portal has always been a great way to organize and access Brainshark, with intuitive navigation and easy search. This release makes it even easier, with new custom filters that provide powerful navigation capabilities similar to and other eCommerce sites. Now companies can organize content in ways that mirror their business and make sense to viewers.

Administrators can create filter names – and their entries – using labels that suit their business processes, and then authors can assign Brainshark content to the right filters.  Viewers will then see the new filter structure when they log in. Please note:  the current filtering options – folders, topics, tags and authors – will still work the same way if you choose not to modify the structure you have today.

  • Themes

    Many of our customers have asked for the ability to provide different looks to the Brainshark desktop player. As of May 3, our response is a resounding “Yes!” 

    Now you will be able to choose between today’s Brainshark Classic theme and our new themes: Brainshark Dark and Brainshark Light. These new themes apply a modern touch to the Brainshark viewing experience, and they can be set at the company level or optionally at the presentation level.  Administrators have the choice of ensuring that all content is shown in the same desktop player, or enabling authors to select player themes on a presentation-by-presentation basis.
