With today’s release of SlideShark v3.5, we have advanced SlideShark’s capabilities around security and identity management while making some design improvements.
Integration with Okta
In our last app release, we added SAML-based Single Sign-On (SSO) in response to many requests from our business-focused Team Edition users. With this release, we have expanded the accessibility options by integrating with Okta!
Now users of Okta, one of the top identity management providers in the market, can log into their SlideShark accounts via SSO within the Okta app. This is important for organizations looking for secure app access through an external provider for identity and user management. We’re incredibly excited to have SlideShark in the Okta Application Network and look forward to providing a more convenient and secure way for the Okta community to access SlideShark.
iOS 7 Design updates and bug fixes
As part of this release, we also gave the user interface an updated treatment to make it a little crisper and more in line with the iOS 7 environment. Everything still works the same way, but hopefully your SlideShark look and feel is now ever more pleasant. As always, we also did a sweep of the app inside and out and took care of some minor kinks we found lying around to tighten up the overall experience.
I thought I’d be remiss if I didn’t also talk about a very recent SlideShark release we had on the web side of things: SlideShark Anywhere! This is a big milestone for SlideShark as it now allows users to present and broadcast from a PC/Mac computer or Windows 8 tablet via the device’s web browser. This squarely addresses the need for a centralized presentation management, distribution and tracking solution for organizations with teams using different or multiple devices, rather than just iOS devices.
While this feature is offered to Team Edition users, anyone can try it for free as part of our 30-day Team Edition trial.
Enjoy the update and please continue to tell us what you think and what you’d like to see in future versions.
If you find any issues, please make sure to get in touch with our support team directly – they’re always ready to help!
And of course, if you love it (and we hope that you do), please log a good review on the AppStore.
