I’ve got BIG NEWS for customers who share their Brainshark presentations with mobile viewers. Beginning this Saturday, February 22, if you include questions in your presentations, the question background will now appear in mobile viewing. Told ya it was big!
So what does this mean, really? It means that by default, we will now show the question background in our mobile player (tablet and phone). In addition to showing the background, we will honor the supplied text offsets you used -- font color, font style, font size, and placement.
As with any Brainshark content, you will want to consider the experience of the mobile user. Is it too text heavy? Too hard to read? These are things that you can either address in your core presentation, or you can use our Conditional Redirects feature to send the mobile viewing audience to a presentation more suited to their device.
If you do not wish to use a conditional redirect but feel your question does not represent well on a phone when the background is honored, you have the option to disable the question background on phones. Viewers will then see our default, gray, HTML question slides.
As always we welcome your feedback on this and other product functionality.
